Exotic Foods of Philippines
In Philippines, you can find different exotic foods that most Filipino people are usually serve on their table during meal time or during special occasion as part of their tradition and ceremony.
Have you tried to eat foods that are not commonly eaten by human? Foods that looks weird and unfamiliar. Sometimes exotic foods are dangerous to our health, as we don’t know what kind of food it is and what kind of nutrients that can we get from it. In Philippines, you can find different exotic foods that most Filipino people are usually serve on their table during meal time or during special occasion as part of their tradition and ceremony.
1.BALUT
It is boiled duck’s egg age 16-18 days old, and this egg is nearly-developed embryo. Filipino people believed that this kind of exotic food is considered to have high protein and also believed to be an aphrodisiac that can give more improvements for sexual performance. It is usually sold nearby streets, boulevards and other places that are known as snack spot or place where you can find different kind of foods for sale and ready to eat. Eating this kind of exotic food is not just simple eating without art; it is the best while it’s hot, and you can not just open it without determining where the best spot to break, there are two parts of egg where the one is for opening spot which you can find hallow inside. The other spot is covered with hard shell where the hard part of the white egg is located when it cooked. This food is best when you have vinegar, salt and lemon juice. Pilipino people are eating these foods usually during night time before sleeping of before dinner.
2. KAMARO
This is one of the insect that commonly found inside your house during night time but usually they are living under the soft soil and they are getting outside during rainy season. I just remember one brand of RTW items which is Kamaro, it was originated at Philippines and one of exotic foods of Filipino people. According to them, this is the most delicious foods during drinking sessions. They used to cook this insect at any form of dish as long as it taste delicious but commonly they cooked in way of frying or fried kamaro. Before cooking this kind of exotic food you must removed the wings and the legs to avoid scratchy texture while eating it.

3.STUFFED FROG
Some frogs are known as poisonous creature as they have poison substance secreted in their body, and this poisonous substance can kill human in minute. But Filipino people are used to make dish from the flesh of Frog or they called it stuffed frog. According to them, it tastes like chicken at first and they are

Kamaro or camamaro is a delicacy from Pampanga, madalas kaming manghuli nyan sa bukid or bibili kami sa palengke, 5 pesos/can of milk. Cricket sa English ang kamaro. Why did you not include fried or adobong Beetle (salagubang), masarap din yan. syempre nakatikim na rin ako.

… sa pangasinan.. luzon part ng norh ang pangasinan… madami yan ara-rawan.. lalo na pag-anihan ….

ang sarap sarap ng kamaro.. haha. mdami nyan pag anihan atsaka pag umuulan.. super sarap nyan grabe. pinakafavorite ko yan among the exotic foods we have in philippines.
